PREP MENTORS |
Mentor Criteria
Mentors in the PREP have a history of training graduate and underrepresented minority students. Criteria for inclusion as a mentor
include:
- Outstanding research programs supported by national funding agencies.
- Strong record of scientific productivity. Productive labs are energetic and include many other scientists at various levels,
providing a dyanmic research environment.
- Experience in training. All mentors are trainers in Case's PhD programs and are thus familiar with the demands
of graduate study.
- Active participation in the PREP. Only investigators committed to the goals of the PREP will serve as faculty
trainers. Faculty will be expected to provide mentorship in the lab, participate in meetings, and specifically mentor students.
- An attractive and relevant research plan for a PREP Scholar.
